After nearly ten years as the Director of Finance, then COO of a single family office,
I realized a need for operational support
...
among high-net-worth families without the structure of a family office.
I gained experience in financial reporting and problem solving through previous roles at the family office and at Goldman Sachs.
In addition to Dawkins Advisory Group, I serve as the Director of Operations and on the Advisory Committee of Invest For Kids,
Chicago’s premier investable ideas conference; am a board member of WU Microlearning and Analytics, a test prep technology
adopted by premier schools in the Chicago area; and a board member of The Bloc, a nonprofit organization cultivating the love of boxing
to share transformational resources with youth on Chicago’s West Side.
I earned my degree in Environmental Design & Architecture at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
I am from a farm in Eastern Colorado where I learned the value of hard work and commitment.
I believe in the balance of working hard and playing hard and enjoy snowboarding, golfing and travel with my family.
As a Solution Architect at Addepar, my introduction to Dawkins Advisory Group
marked the beginning of a collaborative journey
...
with Andrea. We worked closely together to design and build Dawkins Advisory’s performance reporting system throughout the initial Addepar implementation.
During my tenure at Addepar, a recurring theme emerged as I engaged with numerous family offices.
I observed widespread challenges related to inefficient data management and subpar financial reporting,
stemming from a lack of resource capacity and Addepar system knowledge.
This deficiency prevented them from fully realizing the value of their investment.
Compounding this issue, family offices often relied on a single individual for maintaining investment data.
The resulting panic during administrator turnover highlighted the vulnerability of their performance systems.
Recognizing the critical need to address these challenges, I found alignment with Dawkins Advisory Group's mission.
The firm's proactive approach to resolving operational inefficiencies and ensuring business continuity
empowers families to make informed decisions with up-to-date, meaningful data at their fingertips.
This commitment resonated with me, and I knew it was something I had to be a part of.
My professional journey, starting in wealth management operations at Fidelity Investments and later transitioning to Morgan Stanley
where I obtained licensure as an investment advisor, has been marked by diverse roles and a commitment
to improving financial technology and operations excellence.
My career experience has been underpinned by a degree in Business Management from Utah Valley University.
Residing in Utah with my wife and two (soon to be three) daughters, I find joy in shared hobbies,
including travel, snowboarding, UTV adventures, and engaging in home improvement projects.
